The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the
first (Job 42:12)
After Meredith died, I spent a lot of time reading the book
of Job. I remember finding comfort as well as hope within it. So, I know it isn’t
by chance that my devotion brought me back to this book during this time. Just
like Job, everything went wrong at once. There were times I felt abandoned by
God, times I felt like the pressures of the evil one would not ever lift. It
was a terrifying and desperate time. It’s been almost 5 years since I lived
like that and I can say that holding on to God has not always been easy but
like Job I can say with confidence that the God we serve is One of great
comfort, care and love. He took a completely shattered person and made me into
something new. Now He has given me a wonderful new family and another baby to
love and to enjoy.
“There are revelations of God’s divine truth that we will
receive only when the lights of the earth have been extinguished. And there are
harvests that will grow only once the plow has done its work.”
I can honestly say I never fathomed the day that my harvest
would grow again. Loss, affliction and disappointment clouded my view in every
way. Praise God that I can see before me the small sprigs of my future.
For those of you in the throes of hardship, hold on—the blessings
will come and they will be like nothing you could have ever imagined.
Baby Mull will arrive in May of 2013!

I am soooo happy to hear your wonderful news! I will be praying for you every step of the way! In Christ, Early
How amazingly wonderful that you are going to have a baby! The Lord has truly restored the years (Joel 2:25) the locust have eaten, Beth. I know this baby does not replace your precious Meredith who awaits your reunion in heaven. But this child will bring joy as it comes with the promise that the Lord does make all things new. Congratulations!
